Last Tuesday Ambassador Angelika Storz-Chakarji together with officials from the German Federal Ministry of the Interior visited the Milipol Qatar 2014 exhibition and toured the German pavilion.
This year again 14 German companies exhibited their products in the field of security technology.
With 261 exhibitors from 36 countries (59 from Qatar) this year's exhibitors have increased by 7% compared to the previous exhibition in 2012.
Milipol Qatar is the region's most influental trade exhibition dedicated to internal State security and takes place every 2 years in Qatar.

At a press conference during the visit of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to Germany, Chancellor Merkel said that the intolerance and brutality of ISIS towards all those who do not share its beliefs could not be accepted. ISIS poses a serious threat to security in the entire Middle East. The Chancellor underlined that there is broad consensus between her and the Emir on this matter, adding that the State of Qatar also forms part of the alliance that is currently being established by the United States.
